N!CE LCG T28 Lemon Cherry Gelato

Lemon Cherry Gelato by a new brand to the UK market a German company called N!CE. A cross between Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies. I was really excited for this one, as I am for anything new but I've only ever had a good LCG in Amsterdam. Getting one on medical seems to be a fruitless mission excuse the pun.

N!CE's branding isn't bad, I appreciate anything that isn't the plain silver bags that a lot of product has been coming in lately. Opening this bag was quite depressing though, there is no initial smell other than a grassy, perhaps old school cannabis smell. Checking out the buds doesn't give any more confidence. The buds are of an okay size but are very dry.

Buds are quite dry and brittle but have a vivid green colour, there isn't any mold or bud rot. Looking at the buds through a microscope, a lot of trichomes many of which have kept their heads. Not much amber but a lot of clear & milky heads.

Out of the bag it's hard to get a good smell out of the buds, even when breaking them open its just more of a grassy smell. This strain is meant to smell of lemon, cherries and mint but this just isn't that. When vaping this in a Mighty+ it's more of the same lack of terpenes, the taste is reminiscent of old school no name bud. This is not a compliment in the modern age.

I was hoping this could improve with some care but the taste and smell didn't change after 7 days in a mira jar with a Bovida pack.

The effects of this one came on fairly quickly. Usually strains high in limonene get me focused, energised and moving but this one gave more of a relaxed almost sleepy effect. I was still able to work and go about daily activities but with a certain slowness to my actions.

I can see this product being nice in the evening if you want to get some stuff done, just not too much.

Sorry to say but at the moment this one isn't going to be on my list any time soon, at £65 a pack there are plenty of other options, at an even lower price as well.

Cultivators are fighting a losing battle in the UK medical market, with our regulations it means that by the time a product gets to us it has been put through so many checks and has spent so much time just trying to pass regulations that the product we get is older and dryer than anyone wants.

Hopefully in time we will see fresher, more terpier products come on to the marker.
